My name is Jessica and I live in a small town nestled in the beautiful Appalachian mountains in Tennessee. I’ve been in love with Jesus for a long time but it wasn’t until I got to college that I really started to develop a relationship with Him. I’m definitely no model Christian, but I have at least stopped bouncing my prayers off the ceiling! I’ve been married to Ben for 6 years, and I knew he was my happily ever after the first time he prayed over me, for me. I’m not sure he even remembers it, but I knew then that whatever life brought, I wanted to face it with him. We have two beautiful, rambunctious children, 5 and 2, which keep us moving (at least enough to get my daily Fitbit goal!). I have a masters degree in social work, but I became a stay at home mom in October 2015 after spending 6 years working in child welfare. I loved my job but needed to take time to put my priorities back in order. Now I bake, I budget, I sew, and I run races around the kitchen island with our 2 year old. I never considered myself a perfectionist until I started writing a blog. I’m still getting the hang of things, but hopefully you’ll still find something among these posts to make you smile, lift you up, or maybe make you feel like you’re not the only one. Happy reading!
